Dorinda Clark-Cole

Dorinda Clark-Cole, the three-time Grammy Award winningAmerican evangelist and gospel singer. She is best known as a member of The Clark Sisters and as a daughter of pioneering choral director Mattie Moss Clark.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Clark-Cole began singing at an early age with her sisters Karen, Twinkie, Jacky, and Denise. The sisters sang in their pastor father's church and usually performed songs written and composed by their mother. Clark-Cole, who is referred to as the "jazzy sister" of the group, helped develop what is known as "The Clark Sound", which often features high and fast melismas, riffs, runs, and soulful growls. Dorinda sang lead on "Overdose Of The Holy Ghost", "My Reedemer Liveth" the B-side to The Clark Sisters' biggest single "You Brought the Sunshine".
After being pushed back from a prematurely stated date in fall 2007, Dorinda Clark-Cole's third solo CD Take It Back was released on April 15, 2008. The album included the songs "Faithful", "Praise Your Way Out", "Yesterday", "It's Ok", "No Weapon", "If I Were", "Got To Hold On," and the current radio single "Take It Back". Producers Alex "Asaph" Ward, PAJAM, and Rodney Jerkins contributed to the project. Dorinda recently did a brand new (EP) album entitled In The Face Of Change which was released September 21. This project includes hit songs such as "Change" written by her son J.Cole, "This Is It" and "One World One Love". The album consists of only six songs.It was released on her own ministry label "Harvestime Ministries".The album was never heard of and was announced the day of its release. A video on youtube has a preview of all of the new songs on the record. Dorinda Clark Cole have a funky and surprising blend with her sister Karen Clark Sheard.

Clark-Cole is married to Elder Greg Cole and they have 2 children, Nikkia and Gregory Jr.

In addition to being a recording artist and evangelist, Clark-Cole is a prominent figure in the Church of God in Christ of which she is a licensed National Evangelist, assistant supervisor of women, for the Michigan North Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ and Assistant Elect Lady of the COGIC's International Evangelism Department. She is an administrator and instructor at the Clark Conservatory of Music in Detroit (founded by Mattie Moss Clark in 1979), and is an administrator of ministry at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional COGIC, pastored by her brother-in-law, J. Drew Sheard. As of 2007, Dorinda serves as the spokesmodel for Donna Vinci clothing where she launched her own line "The Rose Collection. She also has her own television show called "Dorinda" on the TCT network.

In 1999, as founder and CEO of Lifeline Productions, Inc., she created an annual Singers & Musicians Conference. Through this conference it is her goal to educate a new generation of ministers of the importance of “keeping ministry in the music” by offering various activities including daily workshops and evening worship services featuring from artists whose ministries have gone beyond ministering in song.

Dorinda says that if she did not have a career in music that she would be "dancing on Broadway," and her dream would be "to sing with Bette Midler, Cher and Celine Dion".

In 2011, Clark-Cole will be playing Kia Radisson in The Marriage Lover.

Tye Tribbett

Tye Tribbett, the American gospel music singer, songwriter, keyboardist, choir director and founder of the Grammy-nominated and Stellar-Award winning gospel group Tye Tribbett & G.A. (short for 'Greater Anointing.').
Tribbett was married to Shanté Tribbett, who was a member of Greater Anointing, and they have two daughters together. He also has a brother, Thaddeus, who is part of the band Soundcheck, and a sister, DeMaris, who also sings in the group.

Yolanda Adams

Yolanda Adams, the American Grammy- and Dove-award winning Gospel music singer and radio show host. As of September 2009, she had sold 4.5 million albums since 1991, according to SoundScan.

On December 11, 2009 Billboard Magazine named her the 1st Gospel Artist of the last decade. In the same chart, her album "Mountain High...Valley Low" was acknowledged as the best gospel album.

The oldest of six siblings, Adams was raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Sterling High School in Houston in 1979. After graduating from Texas Southern University, she began a career as a schoolteacher and part-time model in Houston, Texas. Eventually she gave up teaching to perform full-time as a lead singer.

In 2007, after releasing her holiday album with Columbia, Adams stated in different interviews that she was in the planning stages for a new album. Her official website stated that it would be a duets project, with possible collaborations with Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Natalie Cole,Trin-i-Tee 5:7, and Mary Mary. In an interview with Commercial Appeal, Adams stated that Chaka Khan and Shirley Caesar could possibly be on the new project as well. In March 2009, in an interview on a FOX station in Houston, she stated that her women's clothing line and new album are both still in progress. She stated that the new album will be full of dance tracks.

Adams' song "Hold On," from her 2007 holiday album What a Wonderful Time, is included in a compilation in support of Barack Obama's campaign entitled Yes We Can: Voices of a Grass Roots Movement. As of December 2009, the new album is to be released in 2010.

In December 25, 2009, Adams performed on BET's The Mo'Nique Show, where she sang "Already Alright," from her 1999 Mountain High...Valley Low album. Mo'Nique stated that the song is one of her favorites.

In 1988, Adams married Troy Mason, and was divorced little more than one year later. Her second marriage, in 1997, was to former NFLplayer Tim Crawford. The couple divorced in August 2004 after seven years. Adams and Crawford had one daughter, Taylor. Adams served as a spokesperson for the FILA Corporation's Operation Rebound, a program that addressed the concern of inner city schoolchildren.

Marvin Winans Jr.

Marvin Winans Jr, the American singer and producer from Detroit, Michigan.
Born to Marvin L. Winans, Sr., known as to be the leader of the famed gospel cross over group "The Winans", and songstress and gospel great, Vickie Winans, on December 28, 1979, Marvin began capturing the hearts of audiences at the early age of 5. Growing up, Marvin inherited musical prowess, and as a first-hand witness, he watched his family grow from small beginnings to international success. Marvin's half brother Mario is also in the music industry and made a big splash on the musical scene as a Bad Boy recording artist in 2004 with his hit single "I Don't Want to Know". At the age of 16, Marvin took his love for music to another level, forming his first ever singing group, "One Way", with his cousin Michael Winans Jr. and friends, Karl Jackson and Lance Bennett. "One Way" performed their songs, "Never Leave Your Side" and "Stay with Me Lord", at their first ever-appearance on New Year's Eve, 1996, at Perfecting Church, in Detroit, MI, where Marvin's father is the pastor.

"One Way" would only be a stepping-stone, as Marvin and Michael would join their cousins Carvin Jr. and Juan to form the third generation of Winans professional recording artists, "Winans Phase 2". At the age of 18, Marvin along with his three cousins, Carvin, Michael and Juan signed a major recording deal with Myrrh/Epic Records. The group achieved tremendous success with their debut album entitled "We Got Next", capturing fans internationally! Marvin and the Grammy-nominated group, debuted at #1 on Gospel Billboard charts, sold over 250,000 records and performed in front of crowds as large as 50,000, including shows in the U.S. and Europe (Germany, Holland, London, and Amsterdam). They also performed and were featured on several national television shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Donnie & Marie, and the Queen Latifah show. Known to their fans as "Phase 2", Marvin, Carvin, Juan and Mike joined their entire family for a spectacular Winans Family Tour in 2002, touring 40 U.S. cities! What Marvin had accomplished thus far was only the beginning.

Marvin recently married to Tennessee State University graduate Monique Johnson and lives with his wife in Tampa, Florida.

BeBe Winans

BeBe Winans, the gospel and R&B singer. He is a member of the noted Winans family, most members of which are also gospel artists.

He released several albums, first with his sister CeCe Winans, and later as a solo artist. Jim Bakker's television show "The PTL Club" took interest in BeBe and his sister CeCe as background vocalists for the show. After going to North Carolina to audition they were accepted. BeBe and CeCe moved to the PTL campus in North Carolina, and were on the show for about five years.

During their time on PTL, BeBe and CeCe recorded "Lord Lift Us Up" on PTL's label after popular demand on the show. Eventually the success warranted another effort: a full length album. The album did well on the charts. BeBe and CeCe left PTL to pursue their singing career and recorded five albums together including self titled BeBe & CeCe Winans, Heaven, Different Lifestyles, First Christmas and Relationships. In 1995, BeBe and CeCe split up to pursue solo careers. But in 2009 they did the album "Still" together. On it was the song "Close to You," which won a Dove award in 2010 in the category of Urban Recorded Song (in a tie).

He currently hosts his own nationally syndicated radio program, The BeBe Winans Radio Show. BeBe Winans is currently starring in Broadway's The Color Purple as Harpo as of January 9, 2008. He is starring alongside Chaka Khan who is playing his wife, Sofia.

BeBe is currently one of the judges for a Gospel music competition show on BET called, "Sunday Best" along with gospel duo Mary Mary. He was invited to participate in the remake of We Are The World to benefit Haiti after the earthquake.

CeCe Winans

CeCe Winans, the American Gospel singer and winner of numerousGrammy Awards and Stellar Awards.
CeCe Winans was born in Detroit, Michigan, to David and Delores ("Mom" and "Pop") Winans, on October 8, 1964. She's the eighth of ten children, and the oldest of three girls. CeCe's collection of Top Ten R&B radio hits include "Count on Me", her duet with Whitney Houston, from the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. The single was certified Gold in the U.S. and reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, #4 on the Adult Contemporary chart and #8 on the Billboard R&B Singles charts. She has also released her 8th Album Thy Kingdom Come on April 1, to feature the single "Waging War." The first single released from the album "Thy Will Be Done," was released digitally on iTunes on April 1, 2008.

CeCe has authored three books: On A Positive Note, a collection of her memoirs released August 1, 2000; and Throne Room: Ushered Into the Presence of God, a devotional released January 1, 2004 and co-authored with Claire Cloninger. Always Sisters: Becoming the Princess You Were Created to Be, released on July 17, 2007 and co-written with Claudia Mair Burney.

In 2009, CeCe announced her support for a multicultural Christian education curriculum from Abingdon Press, entitled "On the Move: God's Grace from Place to Place."

CeCe now resides in Forest Hills, Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville) with her husband Alvin Love and two children, Ashley and Alvin III. CeCe's children were featured in the BeBe & CeCe Winans music video "If Anything Ever Happened to You". Alvin III also appeared in the music video for "Well, Alright." They attend Born Again Church in Nashville, where CeCe is on the worship team and her kids are involved in the drama ministry. CeCe is a good friend of Whitney Houston as well as godmother to her child, as well as best friends with Co-Pastor of New Light Christian Center (Houston, Austin, Beaumont, Texas) Dr. Bridget E. Hilliard.
